Billy’s interview was shot in NYC by long-time friend and roommate Jeremy Stephenson, and shows the diversity, difficulty and style of blading this East Coast legend has made his own. And not only did Fish bust out for the camera, but he breaks off a huge chunk of knowledge in his interview, covering topics from the crash in Barcelona, The Truth, his family life, living and blading in the City, and what it means for a company to be “skater-owned.” Hell, he even shares a story about Ryan Jacklone. Anything worth doing is worth doing right and we wanted to welcome our new riders to the team with open arms. So when Chris Farmer and Alex Broskow were ready to make the commitment and join the ranks of the Create Originals Pro-team we felt we had to go the extra mile. We could have just had them send in some footage but we felt it was just as important to get hot footage as it was to get everyone together and skate as a team. Airline tickets were booked, the Kelso cruiser was fueled and arrangements were made for our team to have the 50,000 square foot Rye Airfield Skatepark all to ourselves for not 1 or 2 but 3 CO only sessions. Here is some more of what went down… ENJOY!
On another note spring is almost here and we at Create Originals have been working hard to get you a new line of frames to keep you looking fresh into these upcoming warmer months. We now have the ability to manufacture WATER PROOF and tear resistant graphic inserts IN HOUSE. What this means is that we are now unlimited in our options… there is going to be an explosion of new graphics coming. Starting with our new line of signature frames from everyone on our team… Sean and Colin Kelso, Billy O’Neill, John Bolino, Chris Farmer, Alex Broskow, Franco Cammayo, Austin Paz, Mark Wojda and our NEW team member. This new line is set to release at the Bitter Cold Show Down and we will announce the new rider there as well.
Along with the new line of frames there will be a new shirt line, 3 NEW COLORS of G-Blocks(only limited amounts available at BCSD), bandannas, dog tags and PRINTABLE BLANK GRAPHIC INSERTS. The Blanks are awesome! They are pre-cut inserts attached to sheets that allow you to either hand draw or print from your computer on them and then simply pull your graphic right from the page and insert them into your Create Originals frames. NO CUTTING REQUIRED!

Ok, so here’s the official press release to address all of the rumors about the Create Originals pro team. When the three of us started Create, we had a vision for how we wanted to portray the company, team and image. Our goal is to provide the best for the skate community in all aspects, not only with our product but with our team image and riders as well. Basically, we wanted to offer more than a new product, we wanted to give the skate community something to be excited about and proud of. That being said, we at Create Originals are very proud to announce our TWO newest pro riders, Chris Farmer and Alex Broskow. We’re excited to have them on board and you can expect to see a lot of cool things coming from Create Originals in 2010. Welcome to the team fellas! CO.

Am Team rider Mark Wojda joined the team last summer in 2009. This edit features a few of the tricks that went down during his first couple of sessions on his CO frames. Mark has been recovering from an injury he acquired last September at The Last Man standing competition in New York City and will be back at full force shortly. He has recently gotten back on his blades and in a few weeks you can look forward to the first of a series of edits involving Mark and his daily routine as a Boston University student. So watch out, cause Woj-da the Soj-da is coming back stronger than ever.
Well, we are about a month and a half into selling our frames and we just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you that have been riding our frames. The support/sales that we are receiving is a dream come true. The frames have been selling at a very fast rate and the feed back has been overwhelmingly positive. This means the world to us and we look forward to providing you all with more interesting new ideas and products in the future.

The Create Originals co-owners took the 8 hour drive trip out to the “Rolling Rumble” contest that went down at Xtreme Wheels skate park in Buffalo, New York on November 29th. We arrived at Buffalo late Saturday night and decided since Niagara Falls was only 10 minutes away that it was to close not to visit the next day. Our trip to one of the worlds natural wonders was on a misty day so visibility wasn’t as great as it could have been but it was still an amazing site. We then headed to the skate park where we were welcomed by one of the owners Virginia who could not have been more hospitable and she’s is also extremely down for skating. Her family runs the only park in town which basically keeps the Buffalo skate scene alive during the cold winter months. After greetings from the staff and locals and a tour of the immense facility, we set up the goods and spent the day watching the comp go down and explaining the product to the eager and curious locals. After the contest wrapped up and we gave away some frames to the winners, we decided to get some quick clips before immediately heading on our way back to Boston. This edit features all 3 co-owners, Billy O’Neill, Brian Lewis, and Hakeem Jimoh late night at the skate park.

Ivan Garcia was one of the first people we sent a pair of frames to in Europe to try the product. So far he’s been reppin the frames to the fullest and he just hit us up with this edit of him rolling his CO frames and showing off some of his custom designs. Ivan and a friend of his took the time to make a well produced and edited video highlighting the possibilities of the CO frames as well as Ivan ripping up a dope outdoor spot in Spain. Thanks Ivan!
Our newest Pro Team rider, Alex Broskow, is currently at the 2010 Winterclash event in Berlin Germany. He also just debuted his latest Pro Boot from Valo, the AB 1.3 Gold Limited Edition, at Ignition Skate Shop in Germany. Alex keeps the swagger fresh with this gold on black skin setup that will surely fly of the shelves. We all wish Alex the best of luck during the Winterclash pro event as well.
This edit features skating by Victor Arias, rolling the Create Originals frames we sent him as you will notice, and amazing camera work and editing skills of legendary pro skater Vinny Minton. Victor has been rolling around with some of the smoothest style in skating for years now. Vinny has recently made his way into the cinematic production business, taking some time off from being in front of the camera and uses the tricky to handle Glidecam stabilizer and Canon 7D video DSLR very nicely to get this crispy HD edit of Victor shredding an outdoor Cali skatepark. These guys were just messing around so you can expect to see more amazingly smooth Glidecam HD edits from Vinny in the future. We also recently sent Vinny a pair of frames so hopefully we will get to check him rolling on his Create Originals very soon as well.
The Truth Volume 2 world premiere in NYC went off in a big way. Austin took the liberty of making an edit of the epic world premiere that featured guest appearances from a ton of old school legends from the likes of Ryan Jacklone, Nick Riggle, John Ortiz, Matt Andrews, and many others. After the NYC premiere the Truth cast/CO team headed up to the Rye Airfield skate park in New Hampshire for the second premiere and to session the newly renovated skate palace. We recently sent Iain Mcleod a pair of frames to try out after he showed some interest in them through his sponsor Jin Joint. He also recently started rockin the USD Kelso Carbons and decided to make this edit to thank those companies out there who support his skating. Anyone who knows how Iain rolls understands that this guy has been killing it for so many years and is one of the most physically talented skaters alive.
